Pre-Nup I: High School Sweethearts
Dream prenup concept was finally achieved!
Who would have thought 10 years after (Palitz & I) the ordinary students of Ramon Magsaysay (Cubao) High School would go back on our Alma Mater to shoot for our prenuptial. Special place where we met, became classmates on our Junior years (III-Jacinto SY: 2003-2004) and became high school sweethearts (February 28,2005), a month before our graduation. Been dreaming this prenup concept way way back. Been daydreaming if ever Palitz & I will end up together, will push through with this idea of coming back on the place where we both started. Glad to know that when I shared this idea with Palitz year before he proposed (feeling comfortable to share it with him though no more proposals yet because I knew from that time he was the only man I want to spend my life with, he’s the father I want to be for my children), he don’t disagree :P instead, he supported my ultimate prenuptial idea and helped me finalized initial concept and props to be used. Part of the idea was us wearing our complete set of uniform, and yes! We did it! :P As we set the schedule of our prenup day, from preparation of our intent letter for RMCHS principal and with our prenup team (photographer, videographer & make-up artist). We set September 23, 2015 as our prenup day at Ramon Magsaysay (Cubao) High School. |
As of other events that has delays and flaws, we didn’t started our prenup shoot on time. But when we started, went back to the same room where we’ve been classmates, same room where he courted me, serenade me, the same feelings turned back (10 years ago) magically
Because Ma’am Imperial (our soon to be-ninang) has a scheduled seminar that day, Ma’am Lily Forio, assisted us on the 3/F, Rm 301. The class using the room by the time we went up was 7-Rizal (1st year HS class). Ma’am Forio introduced us with the entire class. Most was amazed hearing that we are both settling down after 10 years of being boyfriend and girlfriend. Some thought it was just a shooting for a certain show/commercial, because we are wearing our complete set of uniform :P Some group was shouting “Naniniwala na kami sa forever” “May forever”
At first, Palitz was not that comfortable with the set-up, teenage students (13-14 years of age), looking at us while we are shooting in front of their very young eyes. |
What made us more special was when after we went out from Rm. 301, one student handed over a sheet of paper, when Palitz and I saw it, it was a sketch of us in front of Room during our shoot
|
Eventually, he managed the idea of us on the shoot. He became comfortable with photoshoot team and entire 7-Rizal.
The most nakakakilig part was: we brought in some letters we exchanged and sent with each other over the past 10 years, literally we used it as our props, some students can’t contained their kilig and “Wow, totoo pala ang forever” reactions when they asked us if they may read some of the letters. This was my favorite part of the shoot, letters and stuff showed how time kept us together, how those letters evolved (Stationery papers to cut-out designs to computerized letter then CDs compilation songs, eventually Friendster post then Twitter, FB now IG post. From studio photos to camera photos then DSLR photos to go-pro videos) and our life together. A very creative and humble student of 7-Rizal made it while we are shooting in front of them, John Lloyd.
(Our biggest thanks and hug for this boy! Sure success ahead of him). It made me cry after I realized what this simple sheet of paper and drawing implied.Simple Che-Che and Ernesto (Red) from III-Jacinto. Our life-as a student, our challenges together, our struggles along the way, us became young professionals returned where our life truly begins, where our beautiful love story blooms. Where everything seems happened yesterday. Where young love became strong, tested and became mature because of two people who fought for their happiness -each other. |
We shoot along 3/F main building hallway, stairs and lobby as an alternative for canteen. We shoot in there most significant stuff during our “ligawan days”. Way back December 6, 2004 when Palitz first gave me “his the moves ” Julie’s Choco Roll and Orange Zesto after every classes :P We highlighted these little stuff that helped me to noticed him, in knowing him well and his sincerest intentions. We shoot as well at “sulok” of library, it was full of funniest moment of the shooting day. My heart was on “the kilig mode on” for the entire shoot (ang daming ninakaw ni Palitz :P :P :P)
As we have requested with Ralph during our meeting last August 2, 2015,we want the last frame of 1st set of prenuptial video should end at us in EDSA who will ride on the bus, Palitz guiding me through the vehicle. This will show how he lead our relationship for the next beautiful and challenging 10 years up to now, now that we will face our new life “as one”.

Thanks to our “game na game” and very professionals photographer and videographer team who did well on this special request. Haha, we truly enjoyed this 2 takes of the “mapamaraan” scene. - Malitz
Our biggest thanks to #TeamRedDot for our props:
•Rm. 301 & III-Jacinto acrylic room signages •Julies bakeshop sticker as an alternative for the plastic bag of the store (since no plastic policy is being strictly implemented in Q.C, Marikina and nearby cities, have to think of a way how to show Julie’s logo in our props, had a hard time looking for a store having Choco Roll on their available display :P) •Oo! Ang sabi nya frame signages- the same word I have said night of February 28,2005 :P •Silver storage box- where we kept our little props/stuff during the shoot. Manang (Ate Chin)used to securely brought this on the first set of the shoot. |
